Updated Sunday 30 May 2010 - Thanks to James from Rann Records for contacting us with the latest news about Andover singer-songwriter HATTIE SNOOKS. As a graduate of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Hattie has become a Brighton favourite having played in prestigious venues such as the Komedia and the Concorde II, as well as Brighton Live 2008 and 2009. Taking influence from artists such as Tori Amos and Damien Rice, Hattie has a voice and a sound that leaves one instantly enamoured. Described as the 'Richard Curtis of songwriting', Rom-Com songs are Hattie's domain. Touching on subjects as diverse as biblical battles and Cupid's choice of underwear, she appeals to the Bridget Jones in all of us. Hattie writes straight from the heart with poignant and funny, often quirky, lyrics and without pretension. Hattie got herself signed to Rann Records and her debut EP 'Bon Appetit' is available at www.rannrecords.co.uk or from online retailers including Amazon, iTunes, HMV, Play.com and Tesco Digital. Hattie will be returning to Andover later this year, so watch out for any gigs in the area.
