Updated Friday 30 July 2010 - The second annual acoustic all-dayer will be held at the Angel on Saturday 14 August 2010. An event for the whole family, the music kicks-off at 1pm for 10 hours. Updated Tuesday 27 July 2010 - "Do You Remember?" is back at the Bell Inn for its second year. Do you remember Ten Feet Five, Mikado's cafe, Parson & Hart's or the Spotted Dog? Updated Tuesday 27 July 2010 - The Queen Charlotte pub is planning an open air charity day on Sunday 29 August. The day will have live music outside from midday to 8pm, and then inside for the rest of the evening. It will be a fun family day with a bouncy castle, bungee run, candy floss and many games. There's also going to be a professional photographer with a run way for girls and guys to come with funky outfits. There will be a selection of real ales and traditional ciders available. The principle charity will be MacMillan. This is an ideal event for young/new bands that would love an opportunity to play on a stage. Updated Thursday 22 July 2010 - Thanks to Steve from local rockers RELOAD for contacting us. They will be playing at the Magic Roundabout (The Folly) on Sunday 29 August. Influenced by Old Speckled Hen and a shapely ankle, Reload collided together in a rock'n'roll test-tube off the A303 in 2008. Described on their website as 'The cream of Hampshire's musicians, poured over a premium fruit salad of rock classics', Reload's set includes classic tunes from Bon Jovi, Thin Lizzy, Queen, AC/DC, GnR, ZZ Top, The Who and many more. Updated Friday 02 July 2010 - RIP Sion 2004 - 2010: Sion were a five-piece band from Middle Wallop who enjoyed success following the release of their single 'Not With Experience' in May 2009 which received regular air play locally and on Radio 1, XFM and BBC 6 Music. Also, the video (which was shot at Harrow Way school) was also shown on NME TV. They have played across Europe and the US and won an unsigned competition in 2006 to play at O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park (and were asked back in 2007!). They have also been featured in Kerrang!, NME and The Fly.
The band announced their split on Friday 2 July 2010 and the Andover Gig Guide would like to wish Ak, Bowman, Ruggers, Dan and Birdy good luck for their future projects.

Updated Friday 11 June 2010 - Only 3 months to go to CRISPYSTOCK 2010 - THE LIGHTS - SATURDAY 11 SEPTEMBER from 1pm - Crispy, aka Christopher Vearncombe of Andover, was crowned UK Air Guitar Champion in 2005, but was sadly killed in a road accident a few days before he was due to defend his crown. His many friends celebrate Crispy with an annual concert in his honour. The concert raises money for Headway, the charity that helps survivors of brain injuries. T-shirts, merchandise, bar and catering available. Doors at 1pm.

As a graduate of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Hattie has become a Brighton favourite having played in prestigious venues such as the Komedia and the Concorde II, as well as Brighton Live 2008 and 2009. Taking influence from artists such as Tori Amos and Damien Rice, Hattie has a voice and a sound that leaves one instantly enamoured. Described as the 'Richard Curtis of songwriting', Rom-Com songs are Hattie's domain. Touching on subjects as diverse as biblical battles and Cupid's choice of underwear, she appeals to the Bridget Jones in all of us. Hattie writes straight from the heart with poignant and funny, often quirky, lyrics and without pretension. Updated Tuesday 17 November 2009 - Thanks to Terry Trevett, current secretary of the WEYHILL ELECTRONIC ORGAN SOCIETY, for contacting us with details of their 2010 concert programme. The society was formed in 2002 on Terry's initiative, and it's the only such club in Test Valley. The concerts are aimed particularly at people who prefer their music to be melodious, easy listening and tuneful, and are guaranteed to provide enjoyable entertainment in a relaxed and friendly environment. A different top-class performer is booked for each monthly concert and the programmes are balanced to suit most musical tastes.
